This peice of work was primarilly aimed at really trying to get to grips with what I believe will be some of the most industry influential tools and features that will be fully implemented when UE5 rolls around.
The new dynamic atmosphere and sky system is already particularly fleshed out, and with this kind of system usually being a very common demand in modern games for indie and AAA studios alike I thought it would be an invaluable skill as a developer to be one of the first to fully understand and get to grips with it.
The same can be said for the water system, with more and more games wanting exeptional water, river and boyancy simulation in both the AAA and indie market. Working extensively with the water material to help make sure that the foam systems were working correctly also allowed me important insight into how you would for instance, design a stylized water material built on this system, or bend the will of the system to your own personal artistic design.
The project also allowed me to explore world creator for the first time, and experiment properly with the different tools on offer in the suite, allowing me to intergrate well into any studios or teams already using this tool.
