Mission Design
After an initial research phase I began documentation for an initial vertical slice to secure funding for a full production. I worked on creating a block out for the level and designed various puzzles as introductions to the game mechanics.
I worked closely with the art team and programming teams to keep designs for the level in scope while maintaining the overall vision.
During this period I also worked on developing various improvements to the core gameplay, specifically the player character and vehicles.

Sam joined us in February 2022 as a gameplay programmer and I had a great experience working with Sam. Recruiting Sam was an easy decision for us as he clearly stood out from all other applicants by a large margin. In a programming task that Sam had to do as part of our hiring process, he went above and beyond to deliver the mini-game project with great attention to detail, and he submitted his work sooner than expected.
After joining us, Sam managed to get up to speed with the project very quickly and started programming gameplay mechanics. Sam was a great asset to the team not only because he was competent with programming, but he contributed to multiple aspects of the project. Most notably, Sam took ownership of the level design and implementation of character animations, and made significant contributions to game design, music, physics, combat mechanics and quest system.
Sam is a very quick learner and is super passionate about game design & development, which is clearly evident from his personal project and the quality work he did on Operation Outsmart. I believe Sam will be a great addition to any game development team, both as a game/level designer and as a programmer.
